Team Bios

Our team is made up of experienced franchise professionals with more than 100 years of experience between them.

President, Chief Operating Officer and Director:
Richard D. Wilson

Rich Wilson has been in franchising for over 20 years. He began his career as a College Pro Painters franchise owner in 1988.  He joined College Pro as a full time employee 2 years later and by 1992 was a Division Vice President in the MidAtlantic. Next, Rich worked in both Franchise Development and Operations for AAMCO Transmissions.  He then served as Vice President of Operations for Maaco Enterprises from 2002 to 2003. In August of 2003, Rich joined CertaPro Painters as Executive Vice President. in 2010, he was appointed President.

Vice President of Development:
Scott Mossip

Scott Mossip is the longest continuously tenured employee of CertaPro and has spent his entire 25 year career in the business of painting franchises. Scott became a College Pro Painters franchisee in Ontario, Canada in 1986 and served as a General Manager of College Pro. In 1991, he became CertaPro Painters as a franchisee. In 1993, he joined the corporate team and became the Vice President of Operations of Certa ProPainters (Canada) until 2001, when he became Vice President of Operations for Certa ProPainters, Ltd., a position he held until January 2009 when he became Vice President of Development for CertaPro Painters.  

Vice President – Customer Relationship Management:
Edward Waller

Ed Waller is a Co-Founder of CertaPro Painters. His knowledge of home painting company derives from his experience as a College Pro Painters franchisee in Ontario, Canada starting in 1986. Ed has served the company as Director of Certa Services and Director of IT Services. Since 2004, he has been Vice President of Customer Relationship Management.  Ed is largely responsible for developing Certa's cutting edge management information systems and estimating software.  

Vice President of Franchise Development:
Steve Hearon

Steve Hearon started as a College Pro Painters franchisee in 1991. He then joined the College Pro corporate team as General Manager and in 1996 was named Vice President of the New York division of College Pro.  Steve joined AAMCO Transmissions in 1997 and from 2000 to 2005 served as Vice President of Operations.  Steve joined CertaPro Painters in August 2005 and has overseen the launching of over 150 new franchises since that time.
